Job Description
-Ownership of one or more developments or issues. Leading a design and/or small team of Mechanical experts in project setting. Continuously improve quality of (Optical/Precision) Mechanical architecture.
-Is responsible for the Architecture of the Mechanical part of Imaging or Mechatronic functions, which are reliable, stable, safe, contamination free, cost effective and easy to manufacture and service.
-Translate performance specifications into design specification.
-Creation and validation of new concepts.
-Prepare planning for modules and sub-modules.
-Optimization of the design, with a team of designers.
-Supplier contact for design and drawing reviews on manufacturability.
-Definition and execution of final tests to verify the specifications.
-Development of Mechanical competences.

-Technical University, masters in mechanical engineering (or bachelor with >10 years of experience)
Experience
-At least 5 years of relevant working experience.
-Experience in leading development in a complex technical multi disciplinary environment.
-Knowledge of Flow and Thermal control/ behavior.

Context of the position
-Within this multinational, the sector Development & Engineering (D&E) is responsible for the specification, design and engineering of the company’s products.

-The lead engineer F&T (Flow and Temperature Control) reports to the team leader Mechanical Development Applications and is operational within multidisciplinary projects.
